TabiTabi Apps Team (“we,” “our,” or “the team”) sets forth this Privacy Policy regarding the handling of user information in the travel planner app “TabiTabi” (“the app”).
1. Information We Collect
Account Information
- Email address
- User ID issued by Firebase Authentication
- Nickname, age, and gender
- Email verification status
Passwords are managed by Firebase Authentication. We do not obtain or store passwords in plain text.
Trip and Schedule Information
- Trip title, start date, and end date
- Schedule title, date and time, place, address, and category
- Other schedule information entered by the user
QR and Photo Information
- QR title, description, URL, and linked trip or schedule information
- Trip photos, schedule photos, and QR images selected by the user
In the current version, photo and QR image files are stored locally on the device and are not uploaded to Cloud Storage or similar server storage.
Location Information
The app uses location information with the user’s permission to record travel routes and display GPS history.
- Latitude, longitude, accuracy, altitude, and speed
- Acquisition time and GPS recording session information
- GPS route information created for sharing features
When background GPS recording is used, the app may collect location information while running in the background.
2. Purpose of Use
- To provide registration, login, and identity verification
- To save, display, edit, and delete trip data, schedules, and QR information
- To provide GPS recording, route display, and GPS history features
- To investigate issues and respond to user inquiries
- To prevent abuse and maintain security
- To improve app functionality and quality
We do not use collected information for third-party advertising tracking.
3. Third-Party Services
Firebase
The app uses Firebase, provided by Google LLC, for authentication, data storage, and security management. The main Firebase services used are Firebase Authentication and Cloud Firestore.
Apple MapKit / CoreLocation
The app uses Apple MapKit and CoreLocation for map display and location acquisition. Location access is performed only when the user grants permission in device settings.
4. Disclosure to Third Parties
We do not provide personal information to third parties except when the user has consented, when required by law, or when storage or processing by external services is necessary to provide the app.
5. Retention Period
We retain collected information while the user uses the app or for the period necessary to provide the service. When the user deletes trips, schedules, QR information, or GPS information in the app, the relevant information is deleted. However, certain information may remain for a period of time due to the specifications of external services.
6. User Control
Users can edit or delete trips, schedules, QR information, and GPS information in the app. For account deletion, saved data deletion, or confirmation of registered information, please contact support.
7. Location Permission
Location permission can be allowed, denied, or changed at any time from iOS Settings. If location access is denied, some features such as GPS recording and route display may not be available.
8. Security Measures
We take reasonable security measures, including Firebase Security Rules, to help prevent unauthorized access, loss, leakage, or alteration of collected information. However, due to the nature of internet communication and cloud services, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as necessary. Important changes will be announced in the app or on the public website. The updated policy becomes effective when published.
